WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR 2025?
- February 7-9
WHO CAN ATTEND DISCOVER CONFERENCE?
- Discover Conference is for middle and high school students. Leaders - this means you must leave your younger children and/or babies at home! We love them, but Discover isn't the place for them. We want your focus to be on your students.
HOW MANY ADULTS DO WE NEED TO BRING?
- You should plan to have 1 male adult for every 7 guys & 1 female adult for every 7 girls.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
- All registration is done online by the youth director/leader from the Youth Director Page. Use this form for your students and adults to fill out so you can use it to register your group. You will need to pay with a debit/credit card at the time of registration.
WHERE WILL WE SLEEP?
- Michindoh provides cabins and dorms. Most house 12-16 people.
HOW WILL STUDENTS BE PLACED IN TRACKS?
- This year - tracks will be different! We're excited to mix this up and bring you what we think will be a welcomed change. Tracks will be "choose your own adventure" style where we will provide more topics and the ability to craft an individual experience. Be sure your students look over the offered tracks before you register your group. You'll sign students up for tracks at this time. We will offer some of the traditional tracks, but this way they will be optional, not the only content available. As leaders, we would like you to try and split up the best you can so that your students have a leader in the room with them.
WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO BE THERE AND WHEN WILL IT BE OVER?
- Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the first session starts at 8:10pm. Don't worry about stopping for supper on the way to Michindoh - we'll provide the pizza! On Sunday, the final session is over at 1:00 p.m.
WHAT ABOUT MEALS? FOOD IS IMPORTANT!
- Five meals are included in your registration cost. Friday night pizza party, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday brunch.
- Because Sunday brunch is not until 10:15 a.m., we would encourage you to bring muffins, pop tarts, etc. if you don't want to wait until then to eat.
WHAT ABOUT SNACKS?
- There is a small gift shop with limited snacks and a vending machine, but we encourage groups to bring their own snacks and drinks. There are refrigerators in most cabins/dorms.
WHAT IF ONE OF MY STUDENTS GET SICK WHILE AT DISCOVER?
- We do not have an onsite nurse. The adult leader/youth director will be responsible for their own students.
WILL THERE BE FREE TIME? IF SO, WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO DO?
- We heard you! On Saturday afternoon we have a block of time set aside for free time. We are bringing back new and improved tournaments. We will provide more organized activities, plus have quieter space available for those who like to read, play games, color, do crafts, etc. There is also a sweet tubing hill with tubes provided (weather permitting).
- Our not so secret party this year will be a late night show with a band, skits, games, etc. Why didn't we keep it a secret? We would rather over-communicate than under-communicate with you.
